I’m totally that christian that hears a lyric and thinks of a verse, even when it’s evident that the writer of the song was not talking about the Lord when they wrote it. haha. Lately I’ve been vibing out to Citizen Cope after having slept on him for a pure decade… and while I’m not the kind to sit and try to stretch a song to be about God when it’s not, those lyrics have been on repeat as a prayer in my heart ~ over and over and over again.
