I am more accustomed to four-minute songs than symphonies. There is a pattern to the work God does; but more often than not, it’s so intricate that I can hardly see it. I’m still not unused to living in four-year chunks of time, I think. But I am coming up on twenty-seven years in this earth suit, and seeing more clearly that I won’t always be able to See.

What is happening now has happened before, and what will happen in the future has happened before, because God makes the same things happen over and over again. | Eccl 3:15

I found particular comfort in that last-listed verse the other day. Because I certainly feel that that’s true. But to know that God does it on purpose helps me rest.
