Around this time last year I had notioned to take [and post] more selfies. Twas a brief notion that has not materialized. But as the last few weeks of year twenty-seven unfold, I find myself more inclined – as has been the case for the past few years as I’m greeting the newness that comes with a birthday.
Yesterday I felt particularly In My Vibe in boho-flowy layers and a Quiksilver snapback … a style that doesn’t always find its transition into work-appropriate attire. Saturday mornings have been gloriously blessed by a yawning weekend artistry that finds its expression in ritual and routine – breakfast at The Farmhouse three backroad-miles away with chai tea and playlists and journaling.
Lately, I am very excited about the best that is yet to come; the exceedingly abundantly above all that I can ask or think – here and these days in the land of the living; the graciousness of God made manifest in ways that are evident and easy to enjoy, not just the ways that are to be counted joy. I’m looking forward to experiencing more of the abundant goodness He has stored up for me, to lavish upon me before the eyes of the watching world – for all to see that surely He is good; and for that revelation to lead them to repentance.
For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. No good thing does He withhold from those who walk [by faith]. Psalm 84:11, Hebrews 10:35-39
