Today’s impromptu insta-post features the glorious rose gold birthday garland I came across today at Dollar Tree and this cobbled together goodness that is definitely worth making more than once. In fact, I could see these muffins becoming a thirtyplus birthday tradition. 😄

I wasn’t so convinced of this endeavor at the outset, and didn’t measure anything but the chemistry and sugar. But in honor of my twentysomething years of baking experience I have taken the liberty of confident guestimations. I hope they serve you well . . .


{a spiced peanut butter moment}

I am of the opinon that most basic bakes can be one-bowl if you’re brave enough, ha. Mix the following ingredients together until you get a smooth batter-y consistency and bake for approximately 19 minutes on 350°F.

1/2 stick unsalted butter, room temperature

2 eggs, room temperature

1/2 cup dark brown sugar

1 {soup} spoon of smooth peanut butter

no more than 1 cup all purpose flour

1/2 tsp baking soda + 1/2 salt

hearty helping of cinnamon and nutmeg {probably about 1/4 tsp each}
